Dear Parents of 8th Graders,

National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) applications are now available in the school office or can be downloaded from our school website.  NJHS is an International club that elevates a school’s commitment to the values of scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship. These five pillars have been associated with membership in the organization since its inception in 1929.

8th grade students with a 3.0 GPA or higher and good school attendance are welcome to apply.  A $20 NJHS Membership fee must accompany the completed application. If for some reason your child does not join the club the $20 will be returned. NJHS meets most Wednesdays from 2:20-3:15 in Mrs. Thomas’s room.  Students build leadership skills through serving others and their community. NJHS runs the canned food drive at MRMS and participates in fundraising events throughout the year to help out other community organizations. This year’s club members will also plan and organize an event of their own to raise money for Share the Love.

Applications are due Friday, Oct. 4.

Please contact Mrs. Thomas, if you have any questions.
